Kathie did a great job for me. I was a total novice in real estate dealings when I faced the task of parting with my lake-side cottage. She is a committed professional and a great communicator – clarifying the steps to be taken and guiding me toward fulfilling my responsibilities. She kept me informed regarding inquiries, “open houses”, showings, follow-ups, etc. I felt confident she was in my corner if there were issues to be negotiated or resolved. Perhaps most importantly, it was obvious that Kathie actively sought purchasers for my property rather than just awaiting customers. If you go with Kathie, you can go with confidence.
Right from the get-go, I knew that Kathie was the realtor for me. She is a very knowledgeable and personable individual. Every step of the way, in selling my mother’s estate, she was a great support. It can be frustrating to go through the whole process of selling a house, but with Kathie by my side I knew that everything would come together… and it did. Thank you so much!
Over the years, I have had direct experience with the purchase/sale of 6 different houses in multiple markets and thus have had direct experience with at least 6 different agents. Joni is my 7th agent and she is hands down the absolute best agent with whom I have worked. Joni has all the basic skills needed to be a good agent. She’s a hard worker, shows initiative, and is dependable. What makes her a great agent though are her impressive negotiation skills and her ability to relate to people. Joni is a very strong negotiator and more importantly, she is not afraid to negotiate. In fact, she enjoys it and her extensive knowledge of real estate gives her the confidence to negotiate effectively. The negotiation phase can be very stressful for a client but Joni has the right balance of staying calm and in control while advocating for her clients. And what helps contribute to her negotiations skills is her ability to relate to people. An agent’s job, on the surface, is to help with the purchase and sale of homes but it is really about helping two opposing groups of people (buyers and sellers) come to an agreement under stressful conditions. Navigating these situations successfully requires an agent be able to read people, to understand what they are really looking for, to empathize with their concerns, to know when to push and when to step back. This takes a tremendous amount of skill and yet Joni does it effortlessly. Ultimately, though, what really sets Joni apart from other agents is that she loves her job. She truly enjoys it and it shows. It is really that simple. It is a pleasure to be able to work with someone who treats their job with passion and zeal and a healthy dose of humor. She is a truly outstanding agent, a wonderful person, and I feel so fortunate that I was able to work with her.
Please accept my sincere thanks for the expeditious manner in which you have handled this manner. I deeply appreciate your professionalism and timely assistance in obtaining this buyer at a good price for the property. If the need ever arises, I will not hesitate to recommend your services to family and friends.
Tracy was an absolutely wonderful agent for me. My situation was difficult because I was moving from Maryland to Cortland, had a full time job in MD and could only get to Cortland every other weekend. Also, my house in MD was already under contract.
My husband and I were on a very tight timeline to find a home as we had sold our house and needed to find a home quickly. The realtor we had been working with up to that point just did not listen to what we wanted and kept sending us properties that were totally inappropriate for our needs. Tracy Koenig was an absolute delight to work with and threw herself into our mad search for a home. She focused on understanding what we were looking for so she could help us find the perfect home. She sacrificed family time on numerous occasions to be available for us and was enthusiastic and friendly every time we got together. She is also a lot of fun to work with and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. She has no “hidden” agenda like other realtors I have worked with, she truly is there to represent her clients AND she successfully got us the perfect house and property!
We are from Pennsylvania and decided to look at homes to purchase in this area for a week-end get-a-way and future retirement home.
We contacted Joan via e-mail and from that moment on was so very helpful in all aspects of our purchase…from looking at homes to closing & everything in-between. Being from out of state we needed local help and Joan was there from start to finish. We couldn’t have done it without her!
Investing in a home is a huge step in one’s life and with this new path I was about to travel, I wanted someone whom was similar to my personality, familiar with the area and had a business background. During my research, I read/called about some of the area’s agents and with Yaman’s bios, which not all real estate agencies do, found my match with Tracy!!
After 20 years of raising our family in the Cortland area we decided to buy a farm to give us something to do “when we grow up”. Due to extenuating circumstances we ended up working with (2) different real estate agents: one to purchase the farm and one to sell our home. What a night and day difference in the two experiences. We chose our good friend Tracy Koenig from Yaman Real Estate to sell our home, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Tracy’s attention to detail and positive energy helped ensure that we presented our house properly from the get-go. She had a gentle yet firm way of guiding us through the de-cluttering process of our house so it presented well for perspective buyers, and she talked us through the market valuation process helping us understand how to best price the house for a quick but realistic sale. With her help and guidance we put the house on the market and it literally sold in 3 weeks! Magic? Maybe. Professional attitude and genuine care? Most definitely. Even after the offer was accepted, she helped keep the process moving in the right direction. She made us feel like we were the most important task on her daily “to-do” list always, even though I know she was working with other perspective clients as well. With Tracy you feel that the hometown consideration is alive and well in Cortland and the surrounding counties! You are not just another client to Tracy, you are an addition to her circle of friends – whether you’re an old or new one. Tracy Koenig is great at what she does because she cares about making people happy, and does it with honesty and integrity.
Before we contracted with Denise Allen to sell our rural home, we interviewed several other Realtors. We chose Denise because of the research she had done on comparable sales and her enthusiasm and honest assessment of the market situation. Once we signed on with her, she worked very creatively to market our property. She advertised in a rather broad area, and carefully screened buyers to make certain that they might be a good match. In the process of selling our property, we had several attractive offers, including two contracts that fell apart through no fault of ours or Denise’s. This was very stressful, but Denise was there to hold my hand and encourage me through the rough spots. She was always honest and realistic. Denise made herself available to us. She returned calls, texts and email very quickly, and more than once rearranged her schedule to meet our request. She was always very professional and knowledgeable. I have to add that she has a great sense of humor, which makes her very pleasant to work with. I would recommend Denise to sell a property, and have already done so with confidence.
It was by pure luck my husband and I found Jamie after many failed attempts to find a realtor who actually cared and took the time to help us find our first home. After my first inquiry on a house he was the listing agent for, he called me within 15 minutes to set up a time to go see it. Our questions were always answered in a timely manner and he always made the time to show us any house we asked to see. One of the best things was he set us up to receive automated emails with new and updated listings – we had been going on-line every few hours, every day for at least two months trying to catch that kind of information ourselves. He made the whole home buying process a breeze. He checked up every week to make sure the process was going smoothly and to give us updates on information concerning an approaching closing date and helped keep the process moving along. We highly recommend using Jamie to help you find the perfect house!
A great agent if you are looking for someone who is hardworking and efficient. We listed our property with Jamie from out of town. He talked with us regularly and put our minds at ease that everything would be properly taken care of. Our house was sold in a short amount of time and the closing went smoothly as well. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for an honest and trustworthy agent who will put a great amount of time and effort into selling your home.
We have just sold our parents home of 47 years through Yaman Real Estate. It was a difficult time for all four of us, and very bitter sweet. We came from different parts of the country one last time, to say good-bye to our home in Cortland.
Jamie Yaman walked us through the usual formalities, but it was his personal and caring manner, coupled with the ease of his professionalism that enabled us to close the door behind. We can’t thank him enough…
Jamie was extremely helpful in the recent purchase of our first home. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very rapid in his response to all our needs. Early morning and late into the evening he was always ready and willing to answer any questions we had. My wife and I also appreciated how he saw the purchase through all the way to final closing. I would absolutely recommend Jamie to anyone looking to purchase a home in the area.
