As a resident of Cortland County for over 25 years, I have an extensive background on what makes Cortland such a wonderful community! I have been happily married to my High School Sweetheart, Brian Rogers since 1993. We have two daughters, Aundrea (born 1994) and Stephanie (1995). We have recently adopted our son, Dominick (2008) who we have had since birth and is the apple of our eyes. As a stay at home mom for 9 years, I volunteered in my community through Church, MOPS, Girl Scouts, SPCA, and many nursing homes as well as volunteering at Shriners Hospital. While at home, I ran an extremely successful Certified Home Day Care business for 5 years, planning many activities, field trips, 100% healthy menus, and educational learning programs. I was also a Home School Teacher for 2 years while living in the South.
I have been a REALTOR since 2003, Licensed Sales Agent since 2003, and an Associate Broker since 2006. In my effort to offer my clients the utmost in Knowledge and Professionalism, I have obtained 5 designations
*I have been awarded the GRI designation by the New York State Realtor Institute. I received this honor after successfully completing 90 hours of residential real estate education, meeting the rigorous standards established by the National Association of Realtors. I maintain in-depth organizational skills and pay close attention to details and dates throughout the entire real estate process.
*In maintaining my strive for excellence and knowledge, I continued my education to focus on Buyers. I have earned the Certified Buyers Representative (CBR) designation and the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR). Each class was 22.5 hours of detailed courses to focus on every aspect of Exclusive Buyers Representation. I have the knowledge to turn a ?house? into your ?new home?.
*The Senior Advantage Real Estate Council awarded me the Seniors Real Estate Specialist professional designation. As a SRES, I can help seniors make wise decisions about selling the family home, buying rental property, managing the capital gains and estate tax implications of owning real estate, obtaining a reverse mortgage, moving to a senior community, and other issues you face. By earning the SRES designation, I had 22.5 hours of education, and had to demonstrate requisite knowledge, experience, and expertise to be a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.
*Because our market is ever changing, and technology will leave you in the dark if you don?t stay on top of it, I have earned the e-PRO designation. The e-PRO certification raises the bar for all REALTORS in Internet and technical expertise. The 30 hour program taught how to communicate effectively with, and market to, the online consumer.
With over 100 transactions and over $12 million in sales since 2003, I have earned the Golden Circle Award every year of my real estate career. I am a member in good standing of NAR, NYSAR, CCBR, and Cortland MLS. I have been on the Board of Directors from 2005 till present as Treasures and 2009 President Elect. I am honored to be the Cortland Board of Realtors President for 2010. I have served on many Real Estate Committees including MLS, RPAC, Business Showcase, Professional Standards, Grievance, and Finance committee. I pride myself on building life long relationships that last far past the real estate transaction. My approach to real estate comes from my stay in Lexington, KY for 6 ? years, and the good old southern hospitality taught to me. My career has been built on trust and integrity. I?m hardworking, dependable, loyal, and always available to my clients allowing for better communication. Because Cortland is a community that I love and want to be a part of, I have chosen to be actively involved on numerous boards including topics ranging from health, education, entertainment, business, and recreation. I have volunteered at United Way, Catholic Charities, Loaves and Fishes, SPCA, and Leadership Cortland. I truly want to be a part of improving my community for both my family and my clients.
